Reviewers

Journal of English Language Teaching and Education (JELTE) maintains a qualified reviewer pool consisting of academics and researchers with expertise relevant to the journal's scope, including English language teaching, education, linguistics, literature, language assessment, and related fields.

Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, research experience, publication record, and relevance to the subject of the manuscript. The journal seeks to ensure that reviewers can provide objective, constructive, and academically sound evaluations.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • evaluate manuscripts objectively and independently;
  • assess the originality, relevance, methodology, analysis, findings, and academic contribution of the manuscript;
  • provide constructive and professional comments to help authors improve their work;
  • identify relevant published work that has not been appropriately cited;
  • maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and review materials;
  • disclose any potential conflict of interest before accepting or completing a review;
  • decline a review assignment when they do not have sufficient expertise or when a conflict of interest may affect their impartiality; and
  • complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.

Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through the peer-review process for personal, professional, or academic advantage. They must also not share the manuscript or review materials with third parties without authorization from the Editor.

The journal maintains the confidentiality of reviewer identities and review reports in accordance with its peer-review policy. Reviewer recommendations are considered by the Editor in making publication decisions, while the final decision remains the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief or designated Editor.

JELTE appreciates the contribution of its reviewers in maintaining the quality, integrity, and credibility of the journal's scholarly publications.
