Reviewers

JECL: Journal of English Classroom Learning and Instruction curates a dedicated pool of peer reviewers comprising qualified scholars, teacher educators, and researchers with recognized competence across the journal's scope, including classroom pedagogy, English language teaching (ELT), applied linguistics, curriculum design, language assessment, and instructional technology.

Reviewers are appointed based on their subject-matter expertise, active research trajectory, demonstrated publication record, and topical alignment with the assigned submission. Through this selective matching, the journal ensures that all assessments remain impartial, rigorous, and methodologically robust.

Reviewers are entrusted to:

·       Conduct objective, balanced, and independent evaluations of submitted manuscripts;

·       Rigorously critique the submission's novelty, instructional significance, research design, analytical depth, and pedagogical implications;

·       Deliver professional, substantive, and actionable feedback aimed at assisting authors in refining their scholarship;

·       Highlight pertinent literature or empirical studies that the authors have overlooked or cited inadequately;

·       Preserve absolute confidentiality concerning the manuscript, supporting data, and review deliberations;

·       Promptly notify the editorial team of any potential competing or conflicting interests prior to undertaking or finalizing an evaluation;

·       Recuse themselves from assignments if the manuscript falls outside their area of specialization or if circumstances compromise their impartiality; and

·       Submit thorough review reports strictly within the agreed timeline.

Reviewers are explicitly forbidden from utilizing proprietary, unpublished findings obtained during the review workflow for personal gain, ongoing research, or institutional advantage. Furthermore, disclosing, circulating, or delegating review files to third parties without prior formal authorization from the editorial office is strictly prohibited.

JECL safeguards reviewer anonymity and the integrity of evaluation reports in alignment with its established peer-review protocols. While reviewer assessments and recommendations fundamentally inform editorial deliberations, definitive decisions regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection rest solely with the Editor-in-Chief or the handling editor.

The editorial leadership of JECL deeply values the scholarly dedication of its peer reviewers, whose critical expertise underpins the caliber, validity, and impact of the journal's published work.
