Conflicts of Interest

JECL: Journal of English Classroom Learning and Instruction requires authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose any financial or non-financial interests that could influence, or could reasonably be perceived to influence, the objectivity, integrity, or interpretation of scholarly work.

Authors declare all financial and non-financial interests (funding, employment, personal relationships) in a Conflict of Interest statement; "none declared" must be stated explicitly.

Reviewers decline invitations where they have a conflict (same institution as authors, recent collaboration, supervisory relationship, or competition).

Editors do not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict. Manuscripts authored by editors or board members are handled by another editor, reviewed double-blind by external reviewers, and the editor-author has no access to the review process.
